sue starts with ...
hello, i just found ants all over my rosellas trees and see they have gone dry the fruits which they have seeds in their pods.how do i know when the fruit is ready.it is the green fruit to eat or the red leaves to cook up and eat.please help.they have been in my ground since dec 09

The recipes on the link to subtropical gardening magazine are good. Also search for 'rosella jam recipes' on google. The apple corer method for removing seeds is too fiddly for me- I just rip the sepals off.
If the sepals have gone dry, they won't be much good any more.
