I would like to plant a sapote, and would appreciate any advice regarding the most appropriate variety for my climate. I live in Denmark, on the south coast of Western Australia, about 60kms from Albany

Hi Blossoms

You can definitely grow black sapote in your area into fruition. Most black sapote variety will thrive in your region. Plant two different cultivars if you can for better fruit set. The harder part is sourcing the plants. You can try green and white sapotes as well. If you want to get expert advice on the finer details of your chosen fruit trees get in touch with the "e;Rare Fruit Club of Western Australia"e;.
Happy gardening 😎
