?Sick Wurtz Avocado

    2 responses

My avocado has black spots all over it and I’m not sure if it is sick/diseased? It’s a dwarf wurtz in a terracotta pot, about 2-3 years old. Its grown tall very fast and can’t stand up independently, having a very thin stem. What would be the best course of action?

Hi Bec M,

Looks like your Wurtz got sun burn all over the trunk. You need to use water based paint to protect the trunk and cover the young tree with 50% shade cloth until it has enough leave to cover all the stems and trunks. Cheers

Some copper sulphate may help if its a fungal problem, sprayed before any new growth appears
