striking a lemon tree (forum)

can any one tell me if how i should try to strike a cutting off my lemon tree as we have just sold our house and we have a magnificent 60 yr old lemon tree or is it just as easy to by a new one ?

You will need to graft it onto a rootstock rather than try to grow it as a cutting. It will depend on which variety of lemon you have to which rootstock you can graft onto.
