Tamarillo in the shade? (forum)

I need a tall-ish (3m) but not too wide (1.5m) tree/shrub to hide a very ugly wall. The wall is south facing and so anything planted here will get virtually no sun in winter, but a reasonable amount in summer. I would like it to be a productive tree too, as well as a screen. So I was thinking of Tamarillo. Does anyone know if it will fruit well in these conditions? If not, any other suggestions?

It would probably grow all spindly and leggy under these conditions...What about a vine to cover the wall, such as passionfruit? That might work ;-)

Depending on the amount of sun during summer, what about a Tea Camellia (Camellia sinensis). They need some shade during summer but will grow in total shade & it hedges well.
I think macadamias will grow in shade as well? But I don't know how well they'd do.
And, of course, you could plant native ginger but it doesn't get as tall as you're wanting (only to 2m).
