Tinkering with Tammies,,,,,

Attempting to get some seeds of the Tammy American Pawpaw to germinate faster. So far they have been cold stratified for about two and a half months which is not usually long enough for Pawpaw seeds to wake up. However if they don’t germinate before the end of Summer it might be too late for them to become established as the colder months approach. I would like to know if there is any known method to hasten them out of dormancy.

Keen to grow the Tammy Pawpaw as it is purportedly self fertile. The original fruiting tree was found growing on a property in Pennsylvania and there were no other trees nearby to enable pollination. Hope you can assist with suggestions, thank you.

Maybe gibberellic acid (I got some off of AliExpress)? I have only tried it on a couple of plants, but probably too low of a dose. I was going to try some of some mango seeds I have. . .

Thanks for the suggestion. In fact I had just ordered some giberellic acid to see if that works. Really need to get these seeds sprouted in January so they have a chance of becoming established before next winter. Cheers and Merry Christmas!
