What should I do to trasplant a 3yr old orange tree?
Do I need to cut it back and remove the fruit first?
Thanks for any help.

Hi Bob,
Yes, you need to remove the fruit and cut it back, but not to hard. When digging it up give it a good soaking first and try and get as much as the root ball as possible and keep as much dirt with it as possible. When you have replanted it, mulch it heavily and keep it well watered. I would even spray it with Seasol. I would also suggest you do it ASAP before the weather gets any hotter and do the transplanting late in the day once the hot sun is gone.

for pruning, best between end of winter crossing into spring .
As for transplanting, best to do it on a Cloudy / cool day or as Greg had suggested .
