Kath says... Plant them as you would any other palm seeds, clean the seed of it flesh and plant in seed raising mix. The seeds are reliable but slow, taking up to 12 months to germinate. Growth is also very slow, my 5 year old plants are approx 20 cm tall. Rich organic matter, shade and plenty of water are essential for healthy plants. The flesh of the fruit is edible and is a great little sweet snack when out in the forest. | About the Author Kath Cawongla 25th April 2008 6:44am #UserID: 2 Posts: 363 View All Kath's Edible Fruit Trees |
