When to move lime tree in Brisbane (forum)

Hi, a friend bought me a citrus I believe in a Tahitian Lime about 3/4 yrs ago. She said a good place to plant would be close to neighbours fence as they had prolific fruiting mandarin and orange tree on other side. This area is facing south. My plant has done nothing, very few flowers, no fruit ever set. I think the neighbours trees are taking the light and it should be moved. I trimmed it back last year and I would say it is about 1.5m tall with a fairly upright growth patten and loong prickles..aah. When is the best time of year to transplant. Any suggestions and help on this and how to help it fruit most welcome and appreciated.

Autumn and spring are the best seasons to move citrus, you are likely to get good root regeneration at those times. Don't feed for a couple of months after moving but some seaweed extract may help at planting time.
