About My Edible Backyard

Why Tass1Trees Love's Edible Plants

I am in the process of planting a large orchard, so till them i have been planting in winebarrels. The trees grow well in them and fruit still forms and crops well..

The area is in heavy clay so i have spent some time bringing in soil. The beds are now 2ft high and 2 mtrs wide with 3 mtr paths. I have 20 rows and they are 90 mtrs long, that should get me 22-25 trees per row.

I would like to start planting in spring early summer.

The variety of trees to plant is still not set, it changes all the time. I will be planting as many varietys as i can, the early trees will be the more hardy types. They will be able to sheild and support the tropical varietys.

SO STAY TUNED AND WILL SEE WHAT DEVELOPES..

I have a finger lime growing in a large winebarrel. Its been in there 6 months and is now starting to take off, it had a few flowers i removed this year, maybe next year it will fruit..
