About My Edible Backyard

Why 4Corners Love's Edible Plants

Multicultural organic gardening family with  children gardening for Cub Scout projects and pleasure. Our challenges are clay soil, managing run off from flooding. We have lived here 18 months and have always gardened in sandy soil in the past so this clay soil is new to us!

very abundant-we prune and cull fruit to control the weight load on the branches which tend to split when there is too much weight from the fruit left on them. The pruning sacrifices current fruit but is better for the tree in the long run.
