Loquat - Nagasakiwase

$49.00 ($49.00-$79.00 choose a size)

The best Japanese variety so far, it has deep orange flesh, high flesh/seed ratio and very sweet flavour. Earliest variety to ripen. Thinning fruit will enhance fruit size. The Nagasakiwase often has 2 crops a year in the subtropics. The first crop in April / May then again in August. We have found by cincturing in summer, the August crop has a much larger crop and better fruit size.

Canistel Aurea

$79.00

Aurea produces a large elongated fruit of excellent quality. The fruit is delicious eaten fresh or with a little salt and lemon juice added. Canistels are often added to sweet custards or made into delicious eggnog-like milk shakes.

Canistel - Grey

$79.00

Canistel Grey is a large elongated variety with a unique shape, ripening in late winter/Spring in the subtropics. Canistels are best eaten when they are at their optimum ripeness to achieve a creamy consistency and a sweet custard flavour. Their flowers are formed on their branches, a feature called cauliflory, enabling them to be pruned to keep them small. They tolerate the subtropics quite well.

Grevillea - Forest Rambler

$14.90

This is a beautiful dense ground cover to small shrub that produces attractive flowers through late winter into summer. It is fantastic habitat for small birds.

Grevillea - Honey Gem

$21.90

Fig - Violette De Bordeaux

$49.00 ($49.00-$74.00 choose a size)

Considered by many the finest of Fig Varieties, Violette De Bordeaux sets the standard for closed-eye, mission type figs. Deep Aubergine skin conceals a vibrant red strawberry pulp that is superb and rich with complex flavours, notably that of maple sugar. Fruits are medium to large sized and suitable for both fresh and drying. A hardy cultivar that is naturally semi-dwarfing and drought tolerant, Violette de Bordeaux is an excellent choice for those with space and water restrictions. The tree will grow to more than 3m high and wide if not pruned
