Cherry - Minnie Royal

$69.00 ($54.00-$89.00 choose a size)

Minnie Royal cherry is a low chill producer of fruit with stand out flavour. It is a medium to large sized, red cherry with a firm texture. The tree is very productive and has been known to set heavy crops in southern California. Chill hours can be as low as 200 hours and does depend on micro climate. Fruiting can be as early as November. Minnie Royal requires a pollinator which has traditionally been the older Royal Lee variety but flowering times of these 2 can be mismatched in warmer areas and an intermediary is helpful. The newer, self pollinating Royal Crimson blooming can bridge between these two. Bees are the main pollinating insects, so plant flowering herbs to attract them to your garden. Other stonefruit may also provide pollination services. Plant within 5m of each other for best results. Hand pollination could be helpful in years where flowering times are mismatched.

Pear - Corella

$46.95 ($39.00-$46.95 choose a size)

Attractive red skinned flesh with yellow background. Mid season, early flowering variety requiring only a medium chill. Unlike the common green skinned varieties where the skin becomes very thin and hard to differentiate when biting into it. The Corella variety when ripe still has the sweet soft flesh but the skin remains hard and crunchy and it makes for a satisfying mouth feel with the crunchy tasty skin contrasting the very juicy sweet flesh. Moderate juice and the fruit is small to medium sized fruit.Pollinators, Williams, Buerre Bosc, Ya li

Plant these established crowns into rich well drained soil in your garden and you will be rewarded with delicious fresh asparagus spears every spring. Asparagus plants are either male or female plants. These crowns are unsexed. Both male and female plants produce delicious spears, the male spears being slightly thicker, the females producing seed heads which can be pruned to encourage growth. Purple vegetables are a great source of extra phytonutrients.

Blackberry - Thornless Chester

$23.90 ($14.90-$23.90 choose a size)

Berries are large, flavorful, very sweet, high quality fruit; hardy, productive, disease resistant. This should not be confused with the wild blackberry, this is a thornless variety with less vigour. It prefers cooler climates for best fruit production. The plant is propagated by cutting and is taken from the thornless parent and is a clone. The roots, however, can still occasionally revert to producing thorny stems and these must be managed.
