A tall growing deciduous tree with maidenhair like foliage. The foliage colours golden yellow in Autumn. The female tree bears a plum-like cone with an ill smelling flesh, but the kernel is edible and sweet. Slow growing and requires good soil and plenty of water during summer. They are a very sweet yellow fleshed freestone variety, which is more soft and juicy in texture compared to standard peaches. Angel's will crop in warm subtropical climates. Thai-type mango with green-yellow skin, sweet, tender and juicy with an excellent flavour. Regular cropper in cooler climates.It is elongated and tapers to a long point. They contain little acid and are fibreless. Susceptible to Anthracnose, resistant to Black Spot. Size 375gms. It is esteemed by Asian cultures as a pickled fruit, or as one eaten green or ripe.

Fuyu is a semi-dwarf variety, well suited to growing in small backyards and can be kept to 2m with pruning. The fruit is large and flat, orange-red in colour with a sweet, mild flavour. Great eaten crunchy but just luscious when left to go soft. Besides producing delicious fruit, Persimmons are highly ornamental with their beautiful autumn foliage. Non astringent, so can be eaten when still hard. When young, protect from hot afternoon sun, and when dormant, from wet conditions. Seedless when grown on their own. If cross pollinating with another variety they can have seeds in the flesh as shown in the display picture.
