Tim Thor starts with ... Does anyone know if there are any Apple Mango trees grown in Australia and where I could get my hands on some fruit or trees? (I live in S.E Brisbane). I grew up in Papua New Guinea where we had a few trees of this delicious crunchy sweet fibreless green mango you would eat right off the tree. It has a tangy white flavor if picked too early, so you would eat it just before it started to turn a ripe orange and it was as sweet as an apple with a heavenly crunch! Also does anyone know of any other varieties you can eat green that are SWEET, not interested in the sour varieties. I am currently growing a Kei Savoy (which I'm told can be eaten green with a sweet flavor) Appreciate any responses :) | About the Author Tim Thor BRISBANE 4th September 2018 11:44pm #UserID: 18938 Posts: 2 View All Tim Thor's Edible Fruit Trees |

Bangkokii says... Yes there's a very nice green mango in Thailand but i don't know the name. I guess it's pim sen mun or brahm kai mea so i grow both of them. My mother in law had that great mango but she bought it as a namdocmai which it obviously wasn't. That mango is very crunchy, sweet and you can't stop eating it....i can easy stop eating any other green thai mango. The apple mango is also for sale in Thailand as grafted tree since some years, haven't spotted those on the markets yet. | About the Author Bangkokii nonthaburi 7th September 2018 6:20am #UserID: 16893 Posts: 74 View All Bangkokii's Edible Fruit Trees |
