Pauline Staff of Daley's Nursery says... In the first year each crown can produce about 4-6 at a guess which it is best not to cut to allow the plant to establish. In the second year you might pick that many and leave 4-6 to continue to grow. In the third year you would pick for about 3-5 weeks and then longer in subsequent years.
