I have a grafted reed avocado that our dog snapped clean off at the base. What can I do to save it? I have placed it in water for now. The graft is further up with no damage.

The top will not grow easily enough by cuttings. You could try grafting the top onto another seedling if you have one. I would say you need to buy a new tree and put a strong cage around it.
