Avo L134 says...
Highly unlikely your avocado tree will fruit within 12 months of planting, whether it be in a pot or into the ground.
Even a grafted avocado tree, once planted will take 2-3 to produced flower and maybe resulting fruit.
If it is an avocado tree grown from a seed, it can take anywhere from 7-15years for it to produce flower/fruit and the quality of the fruit is unknown.
Hope that help.

Even if it flowers now the fruit wouldn’t be ready for 6-12 months.

If an advanced tree you’re looking at 2 years for fruit to be ready, unless it has already set fruit this year.
