Back injured people please! (forum)

I love my garden, but late last year I seriously injured my back. Unfortunately it is a permanent injury. Now getting down and up is a bit difficult, at times impossible. How do others cope? I have had to rethink my no poisons policy as I can no longer weed by hand to the extent I did before. Any and all time or back saving tips would be appreciated.
Is a hole digger easier on the back than the old spade method?

Have seen raised beds used with wheel chairs.
Maybe you could sit down on a chair and reach out at shoulder height instead of ahving to bend over.
