Banana advice (forum)

Jen starts with ...
Hi, I would like to grow some banana plants in pots 2 1/2m long, 70cm wide and 1m high. They are in pretty much full sun from oct to march but are in shade all winter. Do you think they will survive, or should I pick something else?

That must be really huge pots! It depends were you are; i think bananas in the right climate do not need full sun. And it depends on which kind of shade too, if it is a deep shade from a house or dappled from trees.
