billber starts with ...
what is the best thing to feed a very small Bay tree I have put it in a pot and as it gets bigger I will put it into a bigger pot . Can you prune bay trees to keep it suitable for larger pots.

It won't hurt to try, billber. Instead of repotting into a larger container just trim the roots, prune the top, and repot the plant in the original pot.

I agree with Firefly and if that doesn't keep it small enough and you have to start again surely you can find someone who would like to plant it in the ground instead of throwing it out.
