Beffis perennis has a short and thick stem. The leaves are shiny and strap-shaped through which protrude small 3-5 cm single or double flowers.
It is a slow creeping perennial and is grown as annuals in the plains and biennials in the hills where it is sown in February-March. It is a fully hardy plant and survives well in cold temperatures.

Bellis perennis is the common garden or lawn daisy. It has no fruit but made into a homeopathic remedy great for whiplash injury.
