Biodynamic Gardening Training Day

    9 responses

Jim starts with ...
Would any of Daley's website readers be interested in attending a 1 day training course in Biodynamic Gardening?

There is an introductory Field Day coming up in the Nimbin area on Sat 19 April run by the Biodynamic Gardener's Association. Its especially geared towards home and market gardeners and small holders. People will learn enough in one day to get them started in Biodynamics. Attendance at the Field Day qualifies people for membership in the Biodynamic Gardeners Association. There is some theory included but the emphasis is on hands-on learning.

Please feel free to email me if you would like a more detailed information sheet on the day's activities or a registration form.

Cheers, Jim

Hmm, Bury some animal manure in a cow's horn and than dilute and spray on crops . Alternatively crush silica crystals and again use as spray. "Res ipse loquitor. "

My mate lost his farm trying biodynamics, how is one cow horn of manure meant to fertilise 500 acres of melons?

If your mate seriously thought one cow horn of manure would effectively fertilise 500 acres of melons, then his future as a successful farmer was probably always going to be questionable.

My folks have a Biodynamic Blueberry orchard. I don't know how much of their success has been due to biodynamics but they produce superb fruit (ie not the tastless supermarket stuff) and get a premium price for it.

To Correy; Biodynamic farming was devised by a man called Steiner who lived last century in Slovenia . He had a dream ,see, which told him how to put manure in a cows' horns and bury it.you with me ? Then after a time one digs up the horn and ,voila , something really awesome has happened to the manure ...even in high dilution it has terrific potency. Now I saw something really interesting about monkey testis extract and its ability to restore hair growth. Interested?

I don't have a prob with the "wholeness" of the concept but the horn manure etc is a complete crock. You even have to stir it in a figure 8 apttern to simulate the ying and yang of the universe.
