Does anyone know if these are available at all? Have they changed the name to something more politically correct perhaps? Thanks in advance :-)

Hi Amanda, I would like to source this tree, too. All I know is, they are also known as 'Blood Peach' and 'Peche de Vigne'. and they are easy to get in New Zealand.
Which doesn't help much, but its' a start.

Ta Violet - I wonder if they are grown from seed? Would they need grafting? Has anyone got one of these?

Janette, Perrys nursery in Adelaide sell them under the name of "Blackboy" Peach but I don't think they sell them online. Maybe if you contacted them they could arrange something. I am waiting for one or some seeds to be sent to me from another forum member.

Does anyone know the chill hour requirements of these guys ... the internet suggests 900 hours (so out of reach of most places in Oz) ... but they sound quite exotic and tasty so I'm intrigued. Especially as the internet suggests they can be grown from stone...
