Bowen Mango Tree

Hi all, just a few months ago I purchased a bowen mango tree from my local bunnings store. As you can see below from my pictures the leaves are turning brown and in some places black spots. I have sprayed the foliage with fungicide solution and the black spots seem to have stopped.

I live is Brisbane the plant gets minimum 8hrs plus direct sunlight, at the moment I'm watering it once every 3-4 days until the water rushes out the drainage holes. I'am using tap water which I let sit in the watering can for a couple of days before I water my plants. I have been using powerfeed once a month but have stopped since we heading into winter now. No new growth since I got the tree. Is it lack water, fertiliser burn or something else?

Thank you for taking the time to read my post and hopefully someone out there might be able to point me in the right direction. I don't want to see my tree die =(

It looks dry. If you can, before you water it,lift the pot up and check how heavy it feels. Then do the same after you water it. If not much change, the pot mix is water repellent, and water is channeling through. If it feels much heavier after watering, it could be staying too wet too long. Soggy root problems also cause a dry looking plant, as the plant cant take up water.
The pot mix should gradually dry out over a couple of days to a week depending on the weather.
Another factor is how you potted it up.
Its possible for the root ball of the original tree to be isolated from the rest of the mix. Check around the base of the trunk to see if the mix is as wet as the rest.
Fertilizer burn could be a problem, usually if the watering is not right.
The Fert can build up, or as the pot dries out, the concentration applied actually goes up, as the water evaporates from the mix.

Thank you for the reply, you might be right it does look pretty dry the top inch or 2. But further down it does feel moist and when I stick my finger where the drainage holes are its always pretty wet which is why I was only watering it once every 3-4 days. I'm now watering a little more often and deeper. The soil mix consist of 3 parts Osmocote Premium potting mix and 1 part Searles 5 IN 1 Organic Fertiliser/compost and some perlite.

Here is an update on the tree, as you can see now most of the leaves are turning brown and dying. The only good news is that there is new growth happening. Should I cut off all the brown leaves or just leave them as they are? Does it look like my tree will survive or is it a gonna?

Thanks,
