Bronze Orange Bug (forum)

Hi All,
I have the beginnings of what looks like a bad infestation of Bronze Orange Bugs on my non-native citrus trees (4). Does anyone have any solutions to this outside of Confidor, as I'd like to keep the bees and butterfly larvae from dying out in my garden.
If anyone has any tips on non-manual removal it would be appreciated, as the suckers squirt caustics at you (smells alot like 'orange power' oven cleaner), which cant be good for clothes/skin/lovelife.
They are currently at the green and orange stages, a week or two away from being big bronze breeders.

Pyrethrum will kill most pests, and breaks down in 24 hours. You would have to pick a time when the bees etc aren't around.
Not exactly 'non-manual', but as someone suggested elsewhere, a small car vacuum will suck up a lot of bugs quickly. Not sure if they are battery-operated, but I've heard of people who had success with them.
