Violet_Cactus says... Hi Micarle, That would be because the USA is a Guava Rust/Myrtle Rust/Eucalyptus Rust country. AQIS's website says we have to have an import permit to bring in seeds from there. Thanks for your reply though - it's good to know there's someone else in Aus who's interested in these trees. We can only hope that there are seeds already here somewhere, perhaps descended from trees that came to our shores many years ago. | About the Author VioletCactus1 Melbourne 21st December 2010 7:17am #UserID: 516 Posts: 349 View All VioletCactus1's Edible Fruit Trees |

fruitist says... Cambuca is a slooooow growing tree with appearance like a jaboticaba twisted trunk and branching. Fruits are borne on trunk and nodes of branches just like jaboticaba. Leaves are lance shape curled down and furry underneath like the Jaboticaba-White (Myrciaria aureana) except the Jaboticaba-White leaves are rippled not smooth. Not easy to obtain seeds as the tree may take 5 to 20 years to produce fruits. | About the Author 22nd December 2010 4:47pm #UserID: 0 Posts: View All 's Edible Fruit Trees |
