Speedy says... 5-7metres (or less) would be the height of carob on poor or stony soils. 10m would be closer to the mark where I live and probably same for Margaret River after say 20-40yrs. Some exceptional individuals may reach 15m under good conditions. so really both are corect , it just depends a lot on environmental conditions. soil, water, nutrients, light, temperature etc 'Santa Fe' is another hermaphrodite cultivar. 1 male tree or 1 hermaphrodite tree can pollinate several female trees. 'Sfax' and 'Tylliria' are a couple of good female cultivars. other female cultivars include 'Casuda', 'Badan', 'Irlam' and 'Waite' | About the Author Speedy Swan Hill, Vic 9th May 2009 1:30am #UserID: 2305 Posts: 250 View All Speedy's Edible Fruit Trees |
