sally starts with ...
The clifford carob. In the general section it said carobs grow to 5 - 7 m . then under the descriprion of the Clifford it had 15 I presume meaning 15 metres. which is correct for this tree. is this the only hermaphrodite carob which you have. Sally

Speedy says...
5-7metres (or less) would be the height of carob on poor or stony soils.
10m would be closer to the mark where I live and probably same for Margaret River after say 20-40yrs.
Some exceptional individuals may reach 15m under good conditions.
so really both are corect , it just depends a lot on environmental conditions.
soil, water, nutrients, light, temperature etc

'Santa Fe' is another hermaphrodite cultivar.
1 male tree or 1 hermaphrodite tree can pollinate several female trees.
'Sfax' and 'Tylliria' are a couple of good female cultivars.
other female cultivars include 'Casuda', 'Badan',
'Irlam' and 'Waite'
