Hi All,
I'm new to fruit trees, and am having an issue with one of my cherry trees (black tartarian).
As you can see, it's not doing so well. I've tried spray with sulfur/pyrethins and another with copper. My thinking was mold & japanese beetle (saw one on the tree).
Any advice / suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

It appears to be a fugal spot problem . The recommended spray for cherry trees is either Bordeaux or lime sulphur applied during dormancy .

hello. my name is Rob and I saw you post from 2013 about Black Tartarian cherry. I have been looking for any information about this tree over a yr now and its believed that its lost, now your forum gave me some hope. Did your tree survive? and do you still have it? Your post is the only proof pf life of this variety still in Australia. I live in Adelaide. Can you get in contact with me via email on jackal_hunter23@yahoo.com.au so I can request a scion cutting? any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob

Hey Rob, you would be very surprised about the incredible diversity of fruit in Australia, especially what nobody has posted online. I have been on my way down the fruit wormhole for a few years now and it took me quite a while to find out that it's not all on the internet; in fact most rarities aren't there at all.
Many rare varieties are in the yards of collectors that simply don't post what they have online, try contacting fruit clubs and collectors directly.
One fruit I am fascinated with is the green sapote. Even though it is so hard to buy trees online, there are so many fruiting trees in FNQ. I was recently talking to a guy that had not 1, not to, but 8 grafted varieties. The point is that most things are in Australia, you just have to talk to the right person.
Good luck,
Rob
