The leaves of my cherry tree are slowly but surely changing colour; see pic attached. Please advise if it is normal or is the plant lacking in something?

Cherries are deciduous, so this looks normal to me. Has the weather been colder lately?

They do look like "Autumn" leaves, however it seems a bit early. I have a 'Stella' 3 year old cherry tree and the leaves are still all green (what's left after our heat wave down here!). I would probably give it some blood and bone then mulch with compost. This might help now if there is a deficiency but certainly give the tree a good start for spring.

(PS. If you have a dog don't use blood & bone unless you want your tree dug up!! Use something else.)

Hi Guys, thanks for your feedback. To Julie, we have been getting some 13 degrees celsius early mornings but have been having heaps of rainfall. Would it perhaps be waterlogged? To Steve, yes, I will give it a feed of blood and bone, and monitor for leaf changes.

Hi Jimmy, thanks for your input. I will put in some phosphorous too, but how much should I?

Google 'cherries nutrient deficiencies pictures' and you should find out for certain what is missing.

Some of my deciduous trees are turning yellow and leaves are falling, even though it hasn't been cold yet - but we have had cooler nights.
