David01 says... Hi Mje, If you don’t want more than one apple tree then there are few options as below: 1. Select the partial self-fertile such as Dwarf Anna. You won’t have a heavy crop but enough for your need when the tree mature/full production. 2. You can later graft another scion such as Dorsett to you existing tree to get better pollination and more fruits 3. Your neighbour apple trees within a km can also pollinate your apple tree if they are almost the same type (Anna and Dorsett are early season - type 0) In Australia apple trees are very common in the back yards The link below info about Anna and Dorsett.
