Is there a dwarf apple variety that is self pollinating or doesn’t need another plant to pollinate with? And is suitable for growing in Brisbane?

Hi Mje,

If you don’t want more than one apple tree then there are few options as below:
1. Select the partial self-fertile such as Dwarf Anna. You won’t have a heavy crop but enough for your need when the tree mature/full production.
2. You can later graft another scion such as Dorsett to you existing tree to get better pollination and more fruits
3. Your neighbour apple trees within a km can also pollinate your apple tree if they are almost the same type (Anna and Dorsett are early season - type 0) In Australia apple trees are very common in the back yards
The link below info about Anna and Dorsett. Cheers.
