Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery says... Hi Denise, nectarines are highly attractive to a wide array of native animals including parrots, fruit bats, possums to name just a few as well as pests such as fruit flies can ruin the crop. To avoid the disappointment of having your fruit eaten it is a good idea to net your tree when the fruit have set but are still small. The fruit saver nets are perfect for this and will protect your fruit from fruit fly, birds, bats and more http://www.daleysfruit.com.au/Exclusion-Net-Fruit-Saver-Large.htm The curly leaves are leaf curl, this can be treated with a copper spray while your tree is still bare in the winter, spray as the buds swelll but before the leaves appear. Ants are often a sign that there are scale insects or aphids on your tree, if you see these pest treat with eco oil. If you can stop the ants predatory insects will take care of the pest. Green harvest have a range of product for this. http://www.daleysfruit.com.au/Exclusion-Net-Fruit-Saver-Large.htm | About the Author Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery 36 Daleys Lane, Geneva via Kyogle, NSW 2474 4th November 2015 10:25am #UserID: 5172 Posts: 80 View All Daleys Fruit Tree Nursery's Edible Fruit Trees |
