MyrtleTurtle says... That photo of unripe berries is taken from wikipedia and could be of a different (sub)species than what is growing in Australia. The taxonomy of African Eugenias was recently changed, and so Wikipedia's info may be out of data too. Part of the reason for my appeal to local growers to share photos of their own plants is so that I can ID what I am growing. Windyridge got back to me with an email saying they stopped selling this species and have no record of photographed fruit. Supposed to be sweet and acidic but someone told me it's insipid. | About the Author MyrtleTurtle PROSPECT,2148,NSW 16th May 2018 6:44pm #UserID: 6913 Posts: 46 View All MyrtleTurtle's Edible Fruit Trees |
