Feijoa Trees

You were kind enough to advise on a recent over fertilised mango tree. My question is with regard to the fruit on this same tree.
Maybe because of the fertiliser, however the fruit is large - one of them is 16cms. wide by about 12cms. deep, very plump.

Question is how best to ripen. I have a little problem with bats and have tried taking one or two off the tree when they show a fair amount of pink, one putting in a bag with an apple, however the result was black spotting on the skin.
Have a couple on the window sill outside to see if this helps.

Your input would be appreciated

Hi kae, I ripen my mangoes by putting them in the fruit bowl inside in a cool area on the kitchen cupboard (I wouldn't leave them in the sun).
Some people say to add a banana to a brown paper bag, then put the mangoes inside? No need IMHO.
