flowering but no fruit (forum)

1 responses

ray starts with ...
I have 2 mango trees, one 20+ and the other about 6 years old
first they both flower but bear very few fruit
the fruit bud and the area around it drys up and is fragile when touched it falls to pieces.
I am in Bundaberg.
My soursop also has problems of not holding fruit.
But 1 problem at a time, what could be missing in the ground or have they got a disease?
thanks

Sounds like Anthracnose ray, check out this video: http://www.abc.net.au/local/videos/2011/05/05/3208266.htm

I'd apply sulphate of potash at 1 handful per sq m under the dripline as well, on all trees.
