Fruit tree for footpath (forum)

I live in brisbane. I have planted a fruit salad citrus tree and a red centre lime on my footpath and I have enough space for another fruit tree. Just wondered what might do well and would fruit well in limited space say 3 m x 3m. I like making jam etc from what I've grown. Eg. Davidsons plum, strawberry guava, macadamia, pommegranate. Wondering about a jaboticaba? Seems like it is a tree and if so not sure if it would fit. ALSO! Like most people in bushy brisbane, I have a thriving community of possums! I like to grow something unusual!

Rollinia delicosa. Tough as nails, fast growing, great fruit which are curious looking and delicious, small tree which can be pruned to shape. Drought tolerant but needs lots of water to set fruit well. Does spread outward, but mine do not sucker.

Guava is good on the footpath. Wampee or grumichama might be ok. I have planted a jackfruit on our narrow street as I love pruning.

Thanks! I like the idea of the grumichama! Something unusual and delicious to eat fresh or in jam. Also such a lovely looking tree.

Let's not go nuts; Grumichima isn't delicious. It is passable, but nothing special. It is a very attractive plant however.

Try Jaboticaba large leaf - eat fresh or makes good jam - have a small leaf and is very pretty - but have tasted large leaf fruit and is similar to Lychee/grape flavour and juicy
