Gefner Custard Apple (forum)

Has anyone had much luck with getting fruits from the Gefner variety of custard apple from Daleys?
My tree is now 6 years old, about 4 metres high and 4 metres spread and very healthy. I see flowers but no fruit set to date. Tried hand pollination with no luck. Thanks.

hi vanl
i got some young custard apples but no flowers yet.
ive got a cherimoya with one little
fruit on it now which pollinated itself
if your gefner is healthy and has flowers it should fruit.
maybe your not hand pollinating
corretly, if you have flowers now i
could show you how if you like.
im in the western suburbs not far from
arndale.

Hi Peter - I think I need your advice on pollination of my Gefner custard apple. Plenty of flowers again this year yet just 2 fruit sets.
Thanks

Hey Vanl, remember that cherimoya I was too scared to plant and you told me to just get it in? Well it's boomed and covered in flowers now, thanks again.

My gefner sets fruit better than my african pride with hand pollination.I have 2 sugar apples close by and they set lots of fruit quite easily.Perhaps there are pollinators in my area.
