Hi I live in Sydney and I purchased a Jaboticaba Tree from Daley's and it have put on new growth but the old and new leaves look like they're getting eaten by some pest or bug. I can't find any information about this. My daddy thinks it could be ants, I am not sure. I have no idea what to do. Please help me!!! This is like a baby to me.

It looks like a leafcutter bee. They do love jaboticaba leaves, and cut near perfect semi circles out of leaves to line their nests. I don't worry about them, as it's only for a small part of the year and they don't do a lot of damage.

Definitely leaf cutter bee. I let them do their thing personally, they are a part of our ecosystem and are not not a pest. Folk ar damage like that is inconsequential to the health of the tree.
