Hi All,
I am looking at planting a kiwi vine but wanted to know what is the best variety for Adelaide. I was looking at Hayward but unsure about the required chilling hours.
Any recommendations or advice is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You need a male and female if you want fruit. Avoid Hayward as it needs a lot of chill.
Dexter is the best, although Daleys rarely have them in stock unfortunately. There is another nursery called Forbidden Fruits which does have them and mail orders too.
I would also avoid 'Sweetie' as it is actinidia chinensis, which is inferior in antioxidants and taste in my opinion.

Rebecca, What Kiwi fruit did you decide on and how did it go? I'm looking at trying Waynes and Dexter kiwifruit in my garden in Adelaide.
