I (hesitantly) point out that macadamias must not be given phosphorus in their fertiliser. At one metre tall they are already advanced enough to be susceptible to phosphorus poisoning and this might (just might) be your problem.

How salty is the water you are giving it?

Hi again , I've used a slow release and dynamic lifter as well as some chicken poo . All contain phosphorus (bugger)so the next question is , will it survive? and should i only use a native plant feed?

Yes to the native plant feed. I am told the chook poo fertilisers are OK, but maybe only in moderation. As to whether it will survive, the definitive answer is, I don't know.

I did something similar to a much bigger one, about 3 metres, a few years ago when I was giving everyone a feed and blithely threw a few cups of nitrophoska around it(as one does). It survived, but still isn't quite back to normal. For probably two or three years it didn't produce any nuts, now it does, but not many yet.

I think yours will probably survive but take a while to recover because it is small, so you won't have fertilised it over too widespread an area. If it is going to die, it will die quite soon.
