my mango tree is at least 10years old it has already stated flowering in aug. some of the flowers seem to die and fall off and when the mangos fruit they only are very small then fall off.
for how many flowers there is i get no mangos. could it be birds or disease or maybe lack ofnutrients because it is hea;thy enough. thanks jeff 0405369101

Hi jeff, your tree has anthracnose. Mix up 30g copperoxy chloride, 30g mancozeb and a 'good' wetting agent in 4.5 litres of water. Spray before the mango flowers open, then spray again when the small fruit has formed. Spray weekly for 4 weeks, then spray monthly. Try not to spray this brew on open flowers, it will kill them. Wouldn't hurt to spray the trunk of the tree and the ground out to the drip line. Mulch thickly as well.

Hi jeff b, spray the leaves, UN-OPENED flowers, the tiny fruit, all the trunk and the ground to the drip line. Don't forget, the wetting agent is the key, if you don't think it's wetting, add some more. Spray once a week for 4 weeks, then once a month to keep it in check.
You might have to prune the tree so you can spray it all. Prune it AFTER the fruiting has finished and the weather isn't too hot. Give it some extra sulphate of potash too.
Yeah, the mice could be eating the flowers, but I don't think they'd eat 'em all.
