I know these are hard to find after Yasi and Larry wiped out propagating material and that this question was asked 6mths ago.Limberlost cant help and Exotic Grove owners seem to be away indefinitely. so is there any one out there that can help me locate a marcotted rambutan sapling tree for my backyard orchard?

Well skipper they are not easy to get like durian trees and the commercial growers are lined up hoovering all trees on offer.Exotic groves had great grafted trees and all other places doing them will have marcots.Fruitforest farm may be your only hope but their requested list could be in gridlock for a while yet.

I am located on the Cairns northern beaches and one of the locals said rambutans dont do any good here.Is that right or does it depend on variety?Cam

Capt Cam you just can't believe those locals. All varieties will flourish on the northern beaches. If you're on sand a bit of mulch will help and they are not fans of salt. You need 2 to make sure of pollination and R9,134,156 yellow,162,167 Rongrien and Binjai should be the only types you consider.
