New to Fruit Tree Growing starts with ... I am after some advice on what fruit is good to grow in Melbourne, most will be grown in large pots but I would like to have fruit throughout the year. I dont know how much frost I get as I have moved into a new house, so say the average for Melbourne in regards to frost expectations. What have people successfully grown fruit wise in Melbourne? Or what can you suggest to grow in Melbourne? | About the Author New to Fruit Tree Growing Melbourne 13th March 2009 1:40pm #UserID: 2070 Posts: 1 View All New to Fruit Tree Growing's Edible Fruit Trees |

au0rey says... Hi New to fruit tree growing...I am also planning to have some dwarf fruit trees for my new house as the land is not big. I am planning to get dwarf fig and also persimmon. I heard that home grown apples are never delicious...heard from someone though cos I have been asking around. Lemons, kaffir limes, calamondins are great citrus in pots/ground. I have seen some really dwarf nectarine trees in bunnings but it is worth searching large nurseries in victoria. Try Daley's too. Impt is plant what you know you will surely eat! | About the Author melbourne, victoria 16th March 2009 2:24pm #UserID: 0 Posts: View All 's Edible Fruit Trees |
