Manfred says... I think you need to discuss the plant with someone local who has a bit of experience with growing plants. What you are describing fits with a plant going into winter, but without further information no-one could say for certain that that is what is happening. With no prior experience you might well need advice about the plants' care over the next and subsequent seasons. You might or might not be doing something wrong and not know about it. Speak to your neighbours.
