epiphany_ starts with ... Feijoas rank as my fav fruit of all time. But with the whole myrtle rust thing going on at the moment (hence why Daleys won't send feijoas to Vic), sourcing named varieties of feijoa for Melbourne is proving very difficult. I already have a Unique, which I'm planning on propagating from this year. Unfortunately my Apollo turned up it's toes this year & I'm still looking for another one to replace it. Perry's have a Mammoth they can send me next year. But I'm still on the hunt! I was wondering if anyone has any named varieties they wouldn't mind sending me some cuttings of that I could graft? Or would be willing to layer some for me this year (will take around 6 months to be ready to send)? Or if anyone could advise a good nursery that would send named varieties to Vic? I have pepino cuttings I could swap with (Kendall Gold)...they take very easily. Or I could layer my Unique if you're prepared to wait 6 months min for a swap? Or I have a huge variety of other things I regularly propagate off...especially berry fruit & herbs...if there's something else you're looking for. | About the Author epiphany3 9th May 2013 10:54am #UserID: 6506 Posts: 18 View All epiphany3's Edible Fruit Trees |

Linton says... Feijoa varieties A few months ago Gardenworld nusery had a large range of grafted Feijoas available including Mammoth and White Goose so it would be worth calling them to see if they still have stock. Also Masters in Preston had Nazematze, but none of the other Masters stores had this variety. Cheers. | About the Author Linton Springvale, Vic 9th May 2013 7:19pm #UserID: 2286 Posts: 994 View All Linton's Edible Fruit Trees |
