Native Rosemary - Westringia fruticosa (forum)

Mareee starts with ...
I have a 'Westringia fruticosa -Variegated Form' also referred to as native Rosemary. Is it an edible form of Rosemary? or is it simply called that because the plant looks similar to Rosemary?
