Colleen starts with ...
A very tall tree in the forest at Alstonville It has dropped many of this fruit. It tastes ok slightly glutinous little bit bitter skin,seed at the bottom. Can you identify and are there any recipes? Thank you

It is a member of the Podocarpus genus, can't identify exact species from the fruit, but probably Podocarpus elatus.
A number of podocarpaceae are known as plum pines and are bush tucker species. P. elatus is the most well known, and will have recipes that can be followed for all podocarps.
