New coffee plants need help

Adrian smith starts with ...
I planted my coffee plants and they get watered the soil is damp but not overly. The plants all have new growth. Should they be in the shade ? I live in south east Queensland.

What is your soil pH? (Coffee likes it slightly acidic to neutral - 6.0-7.5)
How well drained is your soil? (They don't like water hanging around their roots too long - make sure the top 1-2cm is dry before you water again). Plus if you water too much nutrients disappear.
