David starts with ...
Hi everyone.
Can anyone tell me, has the root stock taken over this vine as the leaves started off looking ok but now look like this. still early stages so I may start again

the single leaves are the young ones
and as the plant matures they change to
trilobed leaves. this is normal.

if your plant is grafted you are supposed to remove any shoots that
grow out from under the graft union.

Its ok...I have a Panama gold too and the rootstock does try to overtake - I am often cutting it off! The rootstock's leaves look way smaller and pointier (kind of star-shaped).
