Jirt starts with ... I bought two papayuelos from Daleys just over a year ago. As I knew you need a male and female, I expected Daleys to send me both. They have now reached about 3 metres high, produce flowers but no fruit. By the look of the flowers I think they are both male. Does anyone in Sth East Qld have a female that I could get a cutting from (I have successfully grown cuttings from the ones I have}. | About the Author Jirt Sth East Qld 11th November 2010 9:46am #UserID: 2204 Posts: 8 View All Jirt's Edible Fruit Trees |

Phil@Tyalgum says... Interesing, I was planning to buy a couple of plants as well but would have hoped they would be already sexed. It doesn't seem as though anyone much is growing them, although I did read a post where Kath from Cawongla had fruiting trees, so there must be female plants around somewhere.

allybanana says... I have two Papayuelo plants free to a good home i bought them from Daleys but they sulked and died back to much over winter i think they would love to move north. One gave female flowers last year the other i am not sure of gender. They are resprouting now. If someone could just reimburse postage that would be fine. | About the Author allybanana 15th November 2012 9:50pm #UserID: 4544 Posts: 372 View All allybanana's Edible Fruit Trees |
